Welcome to the Brentwood Buddy community!

We are Rob and Julie Barnett, authors of the Brentwood Buddies children’s book series. I am a first-grade teacher with 30 years of experience in childhood education in the Arlington School District. Rob is retired from the Snohomish County Special Investigation Unit, where he worked with traumatized children. Our backgrounds give us a unique perspective and insight on the challenges facing youth today. Our stories and resources are our way of giving back to the community, by fostering positive values, helping children to live happier more peaceful lives in our ever changing world. You are key to helping us grow!    

We have recruited a cast of kooky critters to tell our stories, while they entertain and educate your kids. In addition to all of our books, we have free animated stories and free downloadable lesson plans and games, that can turn our books into an interactive learning experience. These tools are available to assist in prompting meaningful conversations between teachers/parents and their children at an early age, when their values and beliefs are being formed in their young minds. Together we can build relationships with one another and help children discover how to become happy and healthy adults who positively contribute to our society.  We hope you enjoy them all!
